Today Micah turns 5 months. It's pretty amazing how you can live 30 something years of your life without someone and then, within 5 months, they are one of the dearest parts of your life, a priceless gift that you share each day with. The time has gone by so fast, and I am almost a little sad to know that he will pass that 6 month milestone in just 30 days. My experience with Matthew was that everything about them takes off at 6 months. While I want Micah to grow and develop and have wonderful new experiences, I also just want to snuggle this little treasure in my arms a little bit longer because soon he will be too busy and too big to let me do so. There is no going back, no reliving these cherished days. And so today, in honor of Micah's 5 month "birthday", we blew off some time just cuddling on the sofa and making eyes at each other. He likes that a lot more than this exersaucer!
